Lord, comfort all who mourn, and strengthen them in the Hope of the Resurrection, where there will be no more sickness or mourning, but eternal peace and happiness in your Presence

THROUGH THE WEEK

Thursday 27th  August 2026
Feast Of St Monica
St. Monica Prayer
St. Monica, I need your prayers. You know exactly how I’m feeling because you once felt it yourself. I’m hurting, hopeless, and in despair. I desperately want my child to return to Christ in his Church but I can’t do it alone. I need God’s help. Please join me in begging the Lord’s powerful grace to flow into my child’s life.  Ask the Lord Jesus to soften his heart, prepare a path for his conversion, and activate the Holy Spirit in his life.   Amen.

PRAYER FOR PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
God of Comfort,  send your Spirit to encompass all those whose lives are torn apart by violence and death in the Middle East. You are the Advocate of the oppressed and the One whose eye is on the sparrow.  Let arms reach out in healing, rather than aggression. Let hearts mourn rather than militarize.   **************************************************************************                    PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE
Loving God, we pray for the people of Ukraine,  for all those suffering or afraid, that you will be close to them and protect them. We pray for world leaders, for compassion, strength and wisdom to guide their choices. We pray for the world, that in this moment of crisis, we may reach out in solidarity to our brothers and sisters in need. May we walk in your ways so that peace and justice become a reality for the people of Ukraine and for all the world.    Amen.     Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for us!      Our Lady of Kyiv, pray for us!
